Who can use TaxTech NG?
TaxTech NG is available to Nigerian residents who need to file NRS-compliant Personal Income Tax for the 2026 reform year.
Who TaxTech NG Serves
TaxTech NG is designed for all Nigerian taxpayers, including:
- Formal sector workers (PAYE employees)
- Informal sector workers (presumptive tax filers)
- Self-employed individuals
- Freelancers and contract workers
- Traders, artisans, and small business owners
- Anyone needing a BVN/TIN-verified filing receipt
What We Don't Support
Currently, TaxTech NG does not support corporate tax filings or expatriate filings. These features may be added in future versions based on user demand.
Getting Started
You do not need to be pre-registered with the NRS before using TaxTech NG. The platform will guide you through the identification and verification process based on the documents you have available (BVN, TIN, or neither).
Frequently Asked Questions
Can small businesses file using TaxTech NG?
Yes. Informal workers and small traders may file presumptive tax using the 3-step Informal workflow.
Do I need a BVN to use TaxTech NG?
Yes, BVN is required for identity verification. If you don't have a TIN, your BVN will be used to verify your identity and a Temporary TIN will be generated for your filing.
What if I'm not a salaried employee?
TaxTech NG supports both formal and informal filers. If you don't receive a regular salary, you can use the Informal (Presumptive) filing workflow designed for traders, artisans, and micro-businesses.
