Protect your TaxTech NG account by following these security best practices.
Overview
Your TaxTech NG account contains sensitive financial and identification data. Follow these guidelines to keep your account secure.
Password Security
Create a strong password that includes:
- At least 8 characters (longer is better)
- A mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
- Numbers and special characters
- Avoid using common words or personal information (names, birthdays)
Protecting Your Account
Follow these best practices:
- Never share your password with anyone, including TaxTech NG staff
- Don't use the same password you use for other websites
- Log out when using shared or public computers
- Enable two-factor authentication when available (coming soon)
- Be cautious of phishing emails claiming to be from TaxTech NG
Recognizing Suspicious Activity
Contact support immediately if you notice:
- Login attempts you didn't make
- Emails about account changes you didn't request
- Unexpected changes to your filing or payment status
- Emails or SMS asking for your password, BVN, or TIN
Important Notes
TaxTech NG will never ask for your password, BVN, or TIN via email or SMS. If you receive suspicious communications, forward them to security@taxtechng.com immediately.
